Bordeaux residents Jean-Noel and Marketta Fourmeaux came to Napa Valley in 1983 after studying the California wine business as emissaries of the French government. Since the late 1980s, Chateau Potelle has narrowed its focus to two excellent, Mount Veeder-grown wines bottled under the V.G.S. designation a superb Zinfandel and a classy Chardonnay - a V.G.S. Cabernet is also impressive.
