Its dense ruby /purple color is followed by scents of melted licorice,créme de cassis, scorched earth, white chocolate, and a hint of pepper.Superb,complex, and elegant, with terrific ripeness,a beautiful texture,and a long con- centrated finish, it was fashioned from relatively young Syrah vines by winemaker Gary Galleron, and aged in French oak casks, of which 75% were new.
